Shadow Notes is designed around the idea that your notes belong to you. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we store a profile with your name, email address and a user identifier managed by the authentication provider. Your notes, folders and messages are stored securely in the backend so you can access them across devices.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to provide the Shadow Notes service. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising.

AI features

Optional AI features use an API key you provide. The key is stored in your browser and sent directly to the model provider only when you choose to use those features.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Continued use of Shadow Notes after changes means you accept the updated policy.
